Nelson Mandela’s grandson avoided criticism of Meghan Markle, despite being provoked by a British TV presenter.
The Duchess of Sussex has been criticized for comparing her marriage to Mandela’s release from prison.
Mandla Mandela appeared on GB News praising Prince Harry for his humanitarian work.
He told the station: ‘When Harry comes to South Africa, we are always available to hug him and help preserve his mother’s legacy.’
He didn’t say a word to the Duchess of Sussex when host Dan Wootton Nelson asked in an exclusive world of GB News if he was willing to speak to Meghan Markle.
His reluctance to criticize Meghan and Harry did not go down well with royal biographer Angela Levin.
Commenting on his interview, she said: “Does Mandela’s grandson know that Harry and Meghan are no longer royals? He praises the Queen and Prince Charles, but doesn’t he know Harry and Meghan’s behavior towards them?”
